Rehearsal Blog Update 04/09/2014

Dear Ensemble and Vocalise Singers and Families,

We have a very busy couple of months ahead! Please read all emails and blog articles that come to you over the next several weeks very carefully – they will contain vital information about concert preparation.

Practice and Memorization

All music must be memorized for performance. Memorization checks will be done in class. Singers who miss a scheduled memorization check for a piece will need to record themselves singing the piece on video and send the file to the conductors. Ensemble singers who have missed three or more rehearsals will need to do a repertoire check in person with a conductor on April 16^th. Those of you who have received an email about doing a part check can view the time of your test next week (either 4:15pm or 4:35pm) by clicking HERE. Please be on time for your test.

Singers who miss four or more rehearsals and do not successfully complete a repertoire check will unfortunately be asked not to participate in the concert(s).

Musicianship

Ensemble A:  If you have not handed your workbook in, you have missed the deadline and you MUST bring your book next week. If you're away next week for Spring Break, please email cassie@cantabile.org ASAP to arrange a time and location to drop off your book before you leave.

Ensemble B: Finish both worksheets on chords and practice the sight-singing examples in the package you got on April 9^th.
