We are recording on Monday- how exciting!  :)

For the recording, please remember:  water, soft and comfortable shoes/ clothing, all music

Here is your concert repertoire and order.  Please have everything ready.  Many of you are scared by the Brunner.  Yes, it's very difficult, but you can do it!  Spend time with your score and memorize it.  Do not depend on your section leaders to sing it correctly- be able to rock your part on your own.

Practicing this week

Ensemble
One Mile:  Great work and great energy, Ensemble!  This piece should be memorized by next week.  Practice with the recordings on the blog and be ready for us to hear you in small groups.

Song for the Mira:  Beautiful singing!  Also, beautiful solo auditions from Lauren W, Hannah, Sasha, Beth, and Kelly!  (I hope I didn't miss anyone- if I did, I'll write lovely things about you next week!).  We are excited to hear more auditions next week.  All singers are expected to have pages 1-10 learned completely- with no errors!

***In order to be considered for a solo, you must sing all notes and rhythms with complete accuracy.  This song is particularly tricky because the same melody is used with slight melodic and rhythmic variations.  It will just take a few moments to sort out the tricky parts- do this in advance of your audition so that you are prepared.

Come and Sing:  A special shout out this week to Aaron P, who worked so hard to master his A2 part.  Good work on this piece.  S1's, you have it down.  S2's, we are still looking for more leadership- great work Noor, Simon, and Sasha.  A1 and A2, nice work, but you still need to clean up the ending (ah's to the end).

Vocalise
In preparation for our concert this weekend, here are a few reminders:

  1. Bring your folder on Sunday.  Inside, only have Kungala, I Thank You God, and Panta Rhei.  Empty your folder of other items or it will be too heavy.
  2. Memorize your music this week.  Spend some quality time with your scores, particularly Kungala and Panta Rhei.
  3. Take your concert attire out of hiding and get it ready for Sunday.  Girls must come with finished hair and make-up.  There will be no time to fix either before the concert.
  4. Invite friends and family to the concert.
