tell Brenda you are a family member of a Cantabile singer. There aren’t any
discounts but the symphony will wave all fees. Tickets will be left for
you at will call.

the building in which Scott's Seafood is located (across from the Tech Museum
on Park Avenue).
Music and Rehearal Notes:
- Sing
very staccato and project to the back of the room.
- Sing
the “que” at the end of each phrase with an accent, followed by a decrescendo,
and be careful not to go flat as you get softer.
- Watch
the maestro very carefully for your cues – you must come in together, especially
on your entries that begin with consonants like “captus…” and “fit res…”
- In
your third line, there is a lift after “…cule”, another clear lift after “tur”,
and a tempo change to watch for on “merito”.
- On
your last line will be the biggest rit of all. The cut-off for your last note
is the next downbeat that the Maestro will give.
- Sing
staccato on “manda liet”.
- Be
STRONG, especially on the high As – “niet, niet, niet, niet, niet” – and
remember that there are five.
-
Remember that the first “chorus” is a baritone solo.
- Join
in with the adult choir on “quo pereo, quo pereo, quo pereo”, and remember to
pronounce it as “qwo”, not “qvo”.
- Come
in STRONG on “oh, oh, oh”, and be prepared for an accelerando starting on “iam
amore”.
- Please memorize it for Friday’s dress rehearsal!
Below
is the seating plan we used at the rehearsal. We may make changes on Friday,
but this is how we will line up backstage, so please know your row number and
who you are beside:
